ETHICS AND ANTI-PLAGIARISM STATEMENT

The Scientific Journal aims to stand as an important point of reference in the national and international network of knowledge and, as such, maintaining a correct conduct and observing ethical and anti-plagiarism requirements at all times is an important part of the editor-contributor relationship.
Our editorial board acts at all times according to the highest standards of publication ethics and is ready to take the necessary measures against any contributor who attempts to use plagiarism, excessive self-citation, who infringes confidentiality norms, intellectual right laws or behaves in an unethical manner during the entire process of article assessment and publication. Our Ethics and Anti-Plagiarism Statement is based on the guidelines and standards developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
We provide high quality, carefully peer-reviewed articles and we take very seriously into account our role, in our effort to offer all contributors the best advice and guidance, at a time when ethical issues have become extremely complex and an essential part of research. Authors are held responsible for the content of the proposed articles; nevertheless, the Scientific Journal has the overall responsibility regarding the content of each issue, and therefore we are ready to express and publish our official apologies and the required corrections or clarifications, whenever needed.
We support the freedom of expression as long as it does not infringe any laws or other authors' intellectual rights. We welcome original contributions, both by experienced authors and by young researchers, whose works are treated equally and fairly, taking into account their efforts to comply with the highest academic and research standards.
The Scientific Journal encourages intellectual cooperation at the highest ethical standards. In the assessment of authors' contributions, we focus on the degree of accuracy, the clarity of argumentation and the original approach based on the thorough research of each topic.

Any complaints addressed by contributors or third parties are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. If, after peer-review, an article proposed for publication receives major criticism, authors thereof have the opportunity to respond, in compliance with COPE requirements.

PEER REVIEW

The Scientific  Journal uses the double-blind peer-reviewing system by means of which the identity of the author(s) and of the reviewers is kept anonymous at all times. The system is meant to protect both the interests of authors and editors by making sure that the reviewing process is completely unbiased and that the quality of our published material meets the demands of academic research.
Our reviewers are both specialists in the fields to which the articles being reviewed are circumscribed and competent users of the foreign languages in which the articles are written.
Compliance with the guidelines for contributors is the preliminary step in the reviewing process. Then, the Editorial Board forwards the manuscripts to the reviewers and the reviewing process itself is initiated.
On our reviewers' recommendation, the Editorial Board informs the author(s) of the final decision: accepted without revisions, accepted with substantial or minor revisions or rejected.
The editors will provide reviewers with a paper review form which they need to fill in for each article (which is given a code by the editor, the identity of the authors being hidden from reviewers).
The Editorial Board is also responsible for asking authors whose articles were accepted with substantial/minor revisions to re-submit their manuscripts as soon as possible.

For publishing purposes please use the files below to write your article/contribution directly.

These are templates (with the ".dotx" extension) for Microsoft Word 2007 to 2016 editions, generating documents with the ".docx" extension (to be maintained for the paper you submit for publication). They supply all the editing elements of the template chosen by the Department of Foreign Languages and Communication and the Research Centre for Specialised Translation and Intercultural Communication. At the same time, they provide the guidelines for writing the paper. Use the given structure to type the different parts of your article/contribution (from the title to the references, etc.) directly over its components.

When opening, Word will automatically create a new document in which you can insert your text, to be eventually saved as your article/contribution.

For papers written in other languages than English, French of Romanian, any of the three files can be used; it is however stronlgy recommended to activate the respective dictionary in Word in order to insert automatically the appropriate punctuation marks.
