Tossed by Winter Gales, the Storms, the Sea: Reportage of the Auteur in Tristia: a Black Sea Odyssey I suggest in this article that the artistic vision of the documentary director solicits the stories which exist among the communities and places visited in a given film by enforcing a specific theme and concept. The director gathers and guides the stories which already exist in the studied field of humanity through a calculated and intentional thematic. By revealing the auteur, the director of the documentary, we can clearly identify the most essential aspects of the film: histories, stories, and identities.
